My Learning Project Overview

Now that I have completed my learning project, here is a look from week one to week seven!

First, I chose my learning project, which was to learn to play acoustic guitar with an end goal of playing Riptide by Vance Joy.

Then, in my first lessons, I learned the E minor, A sus2, and A major chords. Here is that video:

Next, I learned how to play the G major and D major chords!

After that, I learned three more chords: A minor, E major, and C major. These three new chords put me at a total count of 8 learned chords.

In my fifth Learning Project post, I learned my ninth and final chord. In this lesson, I learned the F major chord.

Finally, in my sixth post, I played Riptide by splitting the song into two parts, the intro and then the chorus and verses!

And here is my seventh and final post for my EDTC 300 Learning Project! Looking back at this project, I am quite proud of what I have accomplished and though I was not able to play Riptide amazingly, I learned so much and I am grateful for the opportunity I was given in class to choose to learn to play guitar! Now, I have so many resources to continue learning to play guitar on my own!

Thanks so much to everyone who has followed me on this Learning Project journey, I really appreciate it!

  1. Brianna,
This is such a great overview of your learning project! I can tell you have learnt so much! Through my learning project of playing the ukulele I discovered I am unable to play a full song and am needing much more time. I’m very impressed!
    Great job!
